Employment Opportunity: Recruiter – Permanent, Part-time

About the Opportunity
As a Recruiter you will be responsible for hiring the most qualified candidates to fill vacancies within the organization. This will be achieved through traditional sourcing strategies and resources, as well as developing new and creative recruiting strategies. The Recruiter will be responsible to administer the entire recruitment cycle, including onboarding of new hires.

Job Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with management to identify job requirements, qualifications and preferences
  • Facilitate full cycle recruitment using the Applicant Tracking System; post jobs, screen candidates, conduct interviews
  • Facilitate the onboarding of new hires using onboarding software; collect job requirements, extend offer letters, complete references and conduct in person orientation
  • Design, register and attend various job events, promoting recruitment opportunities
  • Develop and maintain a qualified pool of candidates
  • Recommend improvements to improve the company website and social media presence with regards to recruiting
  • Maintain candidate and employee records in the Human Resource Information System.
  • Consistently evaluate recruitment and selection criteria and processes to ensure organization is in alignment with policy and legislation.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Job Qualifications
  • Related education preferred (Human Resources or Business Administration)
  • Experience as a Recruiter or similar role is preferred
  • Familiarity with full cycle recruitment, including facilitating orientation
  • Experience with candidate sourcing tools and methods
  • Knowledge and experience in Privacy and Confidentiality
  • Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Flexible and adaptable, ability to work efficiently in a changing environment
  • Proficient in MS Office and various payroll and HRIS software programs.

Job Requirements
  • Upon offer of employment, the candidate must be able to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search, a clear Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check.
  • The candidate must have a Valid Manitoba Class 5F Driver’s License

Additional Information
  • Office hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am-4:30pm
  • Part time hours: 22.5 hours per week (7.5 hour shifts, three days per week)
